Boliba Savings and Credit was established under The Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2000 (Registration Number 1544). It is the trading arm of Boliba Multi-Purpose Cooperative. Individuals from the defunct Lesotho Bank (in liquidation) and local businessmen joined forces to form a cooperative with the main purpose of soliciting deposits and offering credit facilities to its members. The cooperative continues to grow as a member-owned institution committed to financial inclusion and economic empowerment of the Basotho nation.
